Welcome to my home page! I am an analytical chemist with a strong interest in (bio)sensor and Lab-on-a-chip applications. At the present time I am working as head of R&D at the Implen GmbH in Munich. Previously, I was a senior scientist and project manager at the Beckman Coulter Biomedical GmbH  (BCB), Olympus Life Science Research Europe GmbH (OLRE) and Advalytix AG.

From August 2000 until November 2001 I was a  post-doc researcher at the Institute of Applied Physics (Prof. Bo Liedberg) in Linköping, Sweden. I have reached my Dr. rer nat (PhD) degree at the Institute of Analytical Chemistry, Chemo- and Biosensors (Prof. Otto S. Wolfbeis), University of Regensburg, Germany. During university time the focus of my research was the investigation of new electrochemical and optical (bio)sensors, phase-aggregation of mixed monolayers and the preparation of molecular gradients.
